"When push comes to shove and it is either the house or the kids, God chooses the kids, and He tells me to. When it is the laundry all done or the kids all loved, it had better be the kids."
"Of course God is honored when I am combining joy with closet organizing. Laughter with clean floors. Gratitude with getting all the dishes done. But you know what? If something has got to go around our house, it better not be my attitude. Because that is the one thing that God actually told me to keep track of."
Thank you so much for sharing that post. Truly what I'm learning right now and so hard, or at least what a Loving Father is wanting me to learn. I'm 4 weeks from birthing my 6th baby in 6 years and scared out of my mind about how to handle all the work, love, servitude, etc that comes with mothering 6 children 5 and under. And knowing that in a few more months I may be pregnant again with baby #7 if He wills that.
ReplyDeleteSo it's good to be reminded again and again that I CAN'T DO IT. I am actually too week. But HE isn't.
May The Lord bless you as you await the arrival of your new baby.
DeleteGrace and peace be unto you.

ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! I'll definitely be listening to those over the next few days :-)
Delete"If something has to go, it better not be my attitude, because that is the one thing God actually told me to keep track of." I'm so glad she said that. Many, many times, my husband took the pressure off of me by reminding me that his priority was that I enjoy the kids, and have an atmosphere of peace and joy in the house--not having all the housework "done"(which it never is with lots of little ones.)
